Air Corps aircraft joins search for missing crewmen in Irish Sea

An Air Corps CASA Maritime Surveillance aircraft has joined the search for missing persons after a cargo ship sunk in the Irish Sea.
 
The Air Corps responded to the request from the Coastguard to assist in the search and diverted the aircraft from an ongoing Maritime Patrol.
 
The aircraft arrived on scene at 1.15pm.

Naval Service ship joins search for missing crewmen in Irish Sea
 
The Naval Service ship LE Roisin has joined the search for missing crewmen after a cargo ship sunk in the Irish Sea.
 
The Naval Service responded to the request from the Coastguard to assist in the search and diverted the ship from Dublin Bay.
 
The ship departed Dublin Bay at approx 2.00pm for the search area.
 
An Air Corps CASA aircraft is already on scene assisting with the search
