Hi lads,

I was just reading a past copy of "air forces monthly" (june 2002). In an article by Anthony Tucker (Global military airlift) it mentions that Ireland has bought 3 Sikorsky S-92 with an option of 2 more.

What happend to this order?

if any of ye could shed some light on the subject i would appreciate it.  '<img'>

Order and options cancelled due to a legal challange by the unsuccessful bidders, mainly eurocopter. The then us ambassador,Richard Egan, had offered offsets to help win the deal. This work was to be freighter conversion work for TEAM Aer Lingus i think.
Well thats how i remember it,could be wrong, advancing years and all that   'thumbsup'
