Irish Air Corps / Change of scenery for Air Corps Photographers?
« on: October 14, 2005, 08:20:42 pm »
I was surprised, and delighted to see a gaggle of Air Corps Photographers in Kilworth Yesterday at the All Army OffRoad motorcycle competition.

Not only did they get to walk up Flagstaff to get some excellent photos, but while walking down they may even have got their boots dirty. They were quite lucky though that more of them didn't get a good covering of bog water. Sometimes getting the action shots gets you in the worst possible location. Such as...In front of Me!

Air Corps News / Flying in Ireland: Interview with Ralph James
« on: June 30, 2005, 10:02:26 pm »
The Current issue of Flying in Ireland has a very forthcoming interview with Brig Gen James. It also has some very interesting articles about Air Corps heli involvement in the recent Bus Crash in county Meath,as well as a pull out programme for Salthill.
Great Photos too.

Irish Air Corps / Career info-Cork
« on: October 16, 2003, 10:20:11 pm »
On Tuesday of this week members of the air Corps were involved in a Careers information day In a cork Hotel. The daughter of a friend of mine was there and was not impressed with certain members of the Air Corps team.
She told me that 4 were involved and 3 were very helpful and friendly, answering all questions put of them.

However the other, whose name may have been Henry was quite the opposite. He spent most of the time chatting up the uniform clad schoolgirls who flirted with, and those, like this girl who was genuinely interested who did not have time for his lecherous behaviour, was insulted and mocked by this individual and in her own words "made feel stupid". She also commented on how he had not shaved properly.

Is this the image the Air corps wants to give to todays youth, male or female? I hope not. The people involved in these events are there to give career information, not try to score with a schoolgirl.

I hope the authorities who often view this board take note of my complaint and ensure that it is not repeated.
