Photo Filtre may also help. I personally use Paint Shop Pro, but infairness as a commercial webdesigner I would anyway, Photo Shop Elements is a far more visually advanced programme...  'pilot_lips_are_sealed'

I'd Love To Get Involved & Keep Me In Touch, I Can Get More People To Help- You Are More Than Welcome To Start A Campaign In The "Campaigns" Section On The HASOI Forum...

Lets hope we can get atleast part of this proposal followed through.

Irish Air Corps / Gormanston History
« on: February 24, 2005, 08:35:39 pm »
Others Would Probably Know More Than Me, But Anyway:
It was used for air to ground firing for aleast 60 years upto the late 1990's when Gormanston was closed- currently awaiting several faiths: Social Housing, etc. (Very Hush, Hush)

Aircraft That I Know Were Used Are As Follows:
The Cessna 172's (Fitted With Rockets)
The Fouga's (Of Course)
The Marchetti's (With Rockets)

I'm not to sure of the rest, maybe if you contact someone in the IAC interested in history, they might know, but thats as far as my civilian knowlage goes!

Irish Air Corps / Baldonnel to 'go civvie' again?
« on: February 17, 2005, 08:45:49 pm »
We've only ever had one terrorist attack in our airspace, The Air India B747 in the 80's. And the aircraft didn't go through an Irish Airport...
Besides I went through Munich INTL, yesterday, now they have security checks, I don't think Dublin INTL even turn on there metal detecters half of the time (I wore the same amount of metal going throught DUB on the way over as in Munich, and guess which side I was stopped at, not to blame the staff; only the IAA!), and as for proper baggage scanning! Baldonnel is nearly up to the job as much as Dublin, even without investment!

(I still like the idea of Weston, and besides noise problems!)
The Debate Will Continue!

Irish Air Corps / A bit of nostalgia!
« on: February 17, 2005, 08:33:17 pm »
Interesting... I'm Interested In Irish History & Irish Aviation History... What A Conflict- No more will I have even the (very, very) slightest bit of "Stop The M50" in me, Besides, knowing the Irish Government, If the Air Corps didn't get rid of the castle, the new Outer ring road would have probably destroyed it!!!

Air Corps Careers / Air Corps applicants
« on: February 17, 2005, 08:26:12 pm »
Just send them to me @ aviheritage@eircom.net, and I'll post them up on my website within a few days- also tell me what you would like me to call the page- something like "Guinness... "The Way Things Were" !!!,

And If any one else wants anything of interest put up on my website- such as details, history articles, humour, etc. related to Irish Aviation in the past, including Irish airmen & pilots who served overseas, just send it to me- If in any doubt, just view my policy report on my website, your information is in safe hands!

Thanks Again for everyone's help,

Thanks for your comments- I aim to please aviators.
I have so far developed the website in a friendly way of if anyone has any aviation history of interest; allowing them to send it to me, so I can build Ireland's First Online Historical Aviation Archive. On the subject- The history of the Air Corps and interesting stories about life in The Irish Air Corps on my website is very incomplete...

Thanks Again,
Byron  '<img'>

What do you mean a 'transition year course'??

1. I'm only in 2nd year, believe it or not!
2. A Guy In My School Did One! Out At Baldonnel,
I don't really know how you meant it, my best guess is no. 1!
