It's still there Ronan, you just have to change the dropdown list at the bottom to show items from the last 60 days, since there hasn't been a post on it for over 30 days.

Does anyone know when the next cadet competition begins??

The military.ie website has been undated stating:

"Next Competition will be advertised in the National Media in January 2005."

Methinks I`ll finish college too, next years my final year so I`ll probably go for the 2006 Cadetships.

Does anyone know if I could apply for the next cadetship and say that I get accepted, would they let me go off and finish my degree before I start training??

If you finish this year ie June then yes, as far as I know you can`t get accepted and then go back to college for another year.

Hi Guys,

It's nearly that time of year again, the Cadetships advertisements should be hitting the Sunday papers soon, the Sunday Independent is one paper I know of that runs the adverts.

The 2004 competition closed on 12th February so use that as a guide as to time.

Below are some links to information that is useful, all are on or through Military.ie but there's no harm having them here as well.

Defence Force Cadetships: http://www.military.ie/careers/cadetships.htm

Defence Forces Cadetships Assessment process: http://irisharmy.shlsolutions.net/Home.htm

(The assessment process page is broken down into 4 sections: Assessment Overview, Areas of Competency, Hints and Tips, Practice Tests)

Air Corps Cadetships: http://www.military.ie/careers/cadet_aircorps.htm

Conditions of Entry: http://www.military.ie/careers/cadet_coe.htm

Sample Application Form: http://www.military.ie/images/application%20forms/Air%20Corps.pdf

Good luck to all of you who apply.  If any one has any questions or information to offer please post them here.

Regards,

Frank.

I cant view the military.ie website, websense at work blocks it out.

Any change on the cadetship age limits from last years increase to under 27 ??
