Title: The Air Corps Museum
Post by: Tony Kearns on April 24, 2013, 06:56:35 pm
At the Air Corps Museum at Baldonnel, curator Michael Whelan receives the excellent support of a group of former Air Corps personnel, members of the Roger Casement Branch of the O.N.E. This support is in the form of maintenance and cleaning of the aircraft and equipment exhibited a vital exercise for the proper presentation of the museum contents. The operation is undertaken efficiently and in a seemingly overt casual and jovial atmosphere. This all begins following the arrival of the team but not before the tea and coffee ( in this case the tea  break is before the work starts!). It is then that the anecdotes and stories flow of incidents in the Air Corps or  some hair raising stories during civilian operations in far off countries, legends or what? A finger snaps, a call to work and every one departs to the respective chore of the day.
A great team indeed.

Great work done by one-and-all!

Hopefully one day soon the museum will recieve the necessary funding to open to the public
(no doubt with some of the gentlemen above acting as tour guides).
