Here is that Noratlas at Baldonnel, 1986.  It made a great steep "assault" approach and landing after dropping its parachutists.

Hess we never had any F-111 Aardvarks at the Salthill Airshow. Sorry but that claim is false. We had F-15e strike eagles from Lakenheath but NEVER had F-111 Aardvarks.

Here's a question ..........

What is the longest distance any aircraft has travelled in order to take part in an Irish air show ?

(Incidentially, I recall a USAF Learjet at Abbeyshrule which came from Iceland. I know - not the furthest  '[:sus:' )

BTW, have any Icelandic govt aircraft ever visited Bal/Ireland ?
Icelandic Coast Guard perhaps ?

The Icelandic Coast Guard operate 1 x Fokker 50 (or is it 2 ?), along with a Puma and a Dauphin SAR heli.

(Plus c.3 patrol boats with which they took on the Royal Navy during 'The Cod Wars' !  'applause')
