Irish Air Corps / Re: Fouga Magister back in Baldonnel
« on: October 26, 2013, 04:35:43 pm »
Yes it will be reassembled in time, but as it stands at the moment it allows some working space, 219 is fully assembled. The picture has been knocking around in the hangar for some time I do not know its provenance.
It may have come from the NCO's mess.

Scale Aircraft Modelling / IPMS Ireland Nationals
« on: October 15, 2013, 08:26:23 pm »
Went along to the IPMS Ireland Nationals 2013 in Dublin at the weekend.
A great show by multi talented people. Some great models and being interested in the Air Corps types , found that the Hurricane , Battle and Fouga were spot on as regards colour schemes and markings something you don’t often find. Something wrong with the Boeing though! Well done.

I was luck enough to have flown alongside the Catalina as it departed Weston on Saturday and got some shots of it departing, this attached shot is one of my favourites.

So Tony, this has props, does it meet with your approval?

Of course it does you sarcastic Git  :rotfl:  The Catalina, a great aircraft.
Glad to see that you are photographing real aeroplanes at last, there's hope for you yet :police:

Scale Aircraft Modelling / Re: Airfix IAC Gloster Gladiator

Ah right so. It would of course be "schmick, "awesome" or whatever if the camouflage application was correct.
Pity, it looks like a nice model and better than their original effort of a million years ago, or so it seems.

The real aircraft (Spitfire of course) is not coming, what a disappointment. Not much use going now, might just feck off to the west of Ireland for a few pints.

You and your props!

Now, now no personal remarks, Oh most respected (rotund ) Leader.
To show that I am not totally intolerant I would stop to look at a Victor (but not that heap of Sh-one-T), even though it too has four primus stoves up it's ass. Despite that it is a really nice looking aircraft.  :stirthepot:
Ok. OK I'm gone.

The latest information I have is that the Vulcan will fly from the UK, display then fly back again, it won't be landing.
TG that ugly, smoke emitting, fuel guzzling, heap of junk with the four primus stoves at the rere is not landing at Dublin.
The only proper aeroplane is the one with a propeller.

Ok Ok I'll put out the lights and pull the door behind me as I leave!   :rotfl: :rotfl:
