Pretty sure I just saw a light coloured Huey over Naas - Baldonnel visitor?

No Huey in BAL - it was probably all white Bell 205A G-UHGB which dropped into Kilrush for fuel.

The Citation (UC-35A) was 95-0124 "Duke 55" of US Army.

King Air (C-12U) 84-0165 "Duke 21" had also visited a few hours earlier.

Irish Air Corps / RAF Tucanos @ BAL

A long shot I know - but thought I'd ask anyway!

Three RAF Tucanos visited Baldonnel between 14-17 March this year and despite my best efforts I've been unable to identify them.

Any chance someone on here got photos of them on the ramp at BAL that they coud share?

Rgds,

A long shot I know, but if you don't ask the question ........

Can anyone id the two French Alpha Jets that arrived on Paddy's Day?
Callsigns were FAF6470 & FA6471  (maybe someone got a photo of them on the ramp?)

One of them was coded 705-TA (its serial is believed to be E42).

see picture below - the GASU Defender got in the way!

O'Leary says he's going to create 300 jobs and uses that to try to blackmail the Government & the DAA to get his own way and probably expects the Govt. to pay Ryanair to take over Hangar 6.

The media here swallow Ryanair's waffle every time, hook, line and sinker and there is never any real analysis or criticical examination of his claims by them.

PS I am no supporter of this bloody Govt.  >:(

Hi guys

Just wondering if anyone else thinks this decision was wrong, preventing ryanair using a hanger that is practically empty?

 :airforce_huh:

No.

As usual O'Leary is using the slavish Irish media to push his agenda - do you really believe he's telling the full story?

I managed to get a couple of shots of it for the record but the light was very poor so they're not great

In answer to my own question the French Alphas were:-

E53 (coded 314-LI)  "FAF6410"
E28 (coded 314-AB) "FAF6411"

The information was gleaned from sources in the UK.
Sadly, no one in Ireland seems to bother supplying any info  :airforce_sad:

Can anyone provide the identity of the Royal Navy Lynx that visited BAL last Friday (7th August)?

The Hercules departed around 1520 today heading to LIMRI for the ocean crossing (callsign "Ranger 75").

I managed to get this pic yesterday evening:-

... better than nothing I guess.

BAL has been very busy this week with US mil visitors - presumably in connection with the new US Ambassador's arrival in Ireland and the 4th of July celebrations.

A C-12 King Air departed this morning heading north - id or photos anyone?
US Navy C-9B 159113 arrived yesterday
US Coast Guard Gulfstram 5  01 was in earlier in the week and possibly today also.
USAF C-40C 02-0203 arrived last Saturday and stayed for a few days

Keep 'em coming!
