Heard AL have an A320 in white 70's era colour scheme for the 75th anniversary? Anyone seen it?

Maybe it's just me, but the lettering looks too small for an Airbus.

Well, by way of reference, here's how the livery looked 'back in the day'

Larger version here

In the words of a very old song "oh, you beautiful doll, you great big beautiful doll"
Aer Lingus should do one of the 330's as well for our transatlantic pals. Or better still, redo the whole fleet.

At the risk of showing my age ... my earliest memories of 'spotting' are as a very young boy watching aircraft wearing this livery depart 3-4 at Dublin.

IMHO, this livery along with the current paint job are two of the best airline liveries ever to grace the side of a aircraft (I won't make a list).

I think that one of the Aer Arann ATR's in the previous to this livery, a la the Fokker 27's might have also looked quite smart.

If you're that old you may remember that it was designated as runway 35 in those days! ;D
