Hi Folks,
Over the years i've collected a fair amount of exterior photos of Air Corps mnachines but not too much on the interiors. I've a number of modelling projects in mind and I'd be grateful if someone could tell me the interior colour details of the following machines:
EC-135: seats, cabin walls
Cessna/Reims FR172: seats , cabin walls, instrument panel
Marchetti: seats, cockpit interior colour?
Any help greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Joe

Hi Joe, as the appointed welcome committee person here, may i just be the first ( as is my job right silver! ) to say Hi and welcome to the Board, you will more than likely find everything you need here as there is a vast wealth of information regarding the IAC here as members of the IAC past and present are members of this Board! So again welcome! and post us some of your pics, Frank is always looking for pics so go on dont be shy!

Hi JoeMax
The Cessna interior is just standard Cessna, same as any civvie Cessna;beige plastic trim on the sidepanels and roof and the instrument panel, with green or brown seats and possibly green or brown carpet. The Marchetti has black plastic bucket seats, black interior trim and a black or white instrument panel.Try and get into the Museum and have a look around for more details.

Hi Joe,
that's the trouble of modellers, this is Cessna:
-
...once more...
-
...and last of them...
I have some interior/detail pics of Alouete, Dolphine, Gazelle and Pilatus' flaps details, so if you interested, let me know.
Unfortunately digital technology passes me by, so far, so all of these are "real" prints, but there is no problem to scan them.
By the way, who makes Marchetti in scale? I am looking for it for a while myself, but with negative reasults...

Hi there
FiSe's picture of the Cessna's instrument panel shows it without the beige plastic cover trim. The aluminium sub-structure into which the instruments are fitted is painted black.Any alloy surface, which does not bear trim, is painted in zinc chromate primer.

Welcome Balloonatic!

In their final years of service the Marchetti's were fitted with a grey instrument panel. I suppose you could compare it to the "Gunship Grey" that the USAF use. The 135's have a black panel with grey interior and black seats, I think? Been inside them loads of times but cant remember exactly. Must get the aul grey matter lookes at !

Hi FiSe,
Received the kit of the SF260 in this mornings post.Kit looks quite good but with the usual moulding blocks/trimming that you would expect with a resin kit.Very few air bubbles/surface flaws of note so it should make up to a nice model.Currently have about 20 kits based on IAC/Irish registered aircraft on the 'to build' shelf with Defender and Casa currently 'work in progress' so it might be a while before I get around to building the warrior unless of course it gets promoted to the head of the list!
Regards and happy modelling

Following on from previous post can anyone advise on an equivalent Humbrol paint colour number(or indeed Xrtracolor) to Olive Green (B.S.381C/282) recommended for the SF260W.
(Indeed the same info for Khaki (BS 381C/641) (Cessna & Puma) would also help greatly)
Any advice would be much appreciated.

Baloonatic, thanks for your review of this kit.
Regarding colours, try following link:
http://www.ipmsstockholm.org
They have very good colours conversion charts on those pages, although I am not quite sure how successful you'll be.
Anyway, give it a try...
