Ladies & Gentlemen,
I plan to stop using the IrishAirPics.com upload page at the end of this year and start using the upload page on WorldAirPics.com:

If you are a member of this forum then you are eligible to use the new page. You can check to see if you are set up to use the new page simply by clocking the link above, if you can see the upload form then you are good to go.
If you are logged in and see this message send me an email or PM:
This page is currently on trial with selected members of IrishAirPics.com / WorldAirPics.com
There were a few small issues with this page in the past but these (hopefully) have been resolved. By having you log in to upload pictures it opens up the possibility of adding more features including the ability to see what pictures you have in the upload queue.
And for those of you who are concerned about your forum username being linked to your photographer / real name the two are linked in the background but the link is not publicly available.

As part of the overhaul of the picture upload & screening process prior to the new screeners coming on board I've updated the picture reject reasons, tried to include a better explanation of the cause for the reject and I'm working on a screening guide that I hope both the photographers and the screeners will use.

Any ideas, comments or feedback on this page is welcome.
On the WorldAirPics.com Upload page - http://www.worldairpics.com/upload/ - you will now get a visual confirmation of the picture you just uploaded (the picture is shown back to you once it is uploaded), if you do not see the picture being displayed there could have been a problem with the upload, if in doubt you can check your personal upload queue here: http://www.worldairpics.com/members/pending.php and see if the picture is there.
More updates tomorrow hopefully...

In your example link of the Tornado? (I'm not too well up on military a/c) in the mach loop you show the second two pics as "Not accepted" but done in green font, a tad confusing.

My bad, that was a typo, like I said, it's a work in progress. Fixed now. Thanks for pointing that out, and yes, it's a Tornado.

Just to give another update on the upload page...
The "Autofill" section on the WorldAirPics.com Upload page - http://www.worldairpics.com/upload/ - will now let you autofill both aircraft & airport, all you need is the aircraft registration / serial and either the ICAO or IATA code for the airport.
It's working for me but I'm sure one of you guys can break it. If you find any problems with it please let me know.

So, what's the general opinion then... Good? Bad? Better? Worse? Same as before?

I seem to remember that you intend to make IAP for images with an Irish connection and WAP for images from the rest of the World. Is this still the plan and do you have any idea regarding timing if this is the case.

That is an idea that I've thought about alright, IrishAirPics.com would be for Irish related pictures only, i.e. EI reg, Irish Air Corps, Irish Airport, etc, while WorldAirPics.com would display ALL pictures from both sites.
Every Irish related picture on the site has been flagged as such so it shouldn't be too much of a problem to implement.
Is there an interest from users out there for the two sites to to make a distinction?

I know it is still in development but on the upload stats page it shows me having 88 pics online but I know I've a good few more than that up. It's great to see thumbnails of what I've got in the queue too :thumbsup:.
Also, what ever happened to the "watermark" option? would it have been an idea to include it on the new upload page or is it available somewhere else on the site?

Try now, you had 3 different email addresses supplied with your pictures but only 1 of those matched the email address associated with your forum account.
The watermarking thing kind of fizzled out, with me anyway, to be honest I forgot about it, I've had a busy few months since I posted that.
