Irish Air Corps / B-17 rumour
« on: May 02, 2007, 07:23:38 pm »
Guy's (especialy Tony),

I've heard a rumour that the IAC once had a B-17 bomber which landed in Ireland during WWII .

The IAC never flew it as they were short of trained pilots on this type.

I can't find anything on the net on this so maybey one of you can help me.

Sounds cool though..... B-17 with IAC roundels '<img'>

Hope to hear,

Guy's,

I know it might be a wee early but any of you have plans of commin' out to Volkel Airshow 2007.

Volkel AFB houses 4 F-16 squadrons and is therefor the biggest F-16 base in the country.

If a few of you are commin' I might be able to get some rooms in Uden ( nearby town)

First participants are allready know.... Swiss AF PC-7 team.

Hope to hear.

Shameless Promotion / IAC polo's
« on: September 17, 2006, 10:04:31 am »
Guys,

the polos are on order.!!!!!!!!!

They will be navyblue with the IAC crest on the left breast.

Cost would be € 25,-- each.

The first batch will be 25 pieces so order yours quickly.

When wanted there is a possibility to "personalize" the shirt by embroi your name on the bottom of the right sleeve.
The extra cost for this is € 5,--.

Dirk is getting an e-mail address where the orders can be placed.
I'll put that up ASAP.

Aviation Photography / PHOTO CONTEST
« on: June 28, 2006, 07:56:10 am »
Ladies and gentlemen,

As we are all aircraft fanatics and most of us take pictures I thought of the idea to organize a photo contest on the forum.

My idea is that each of us can up-load 2 or 3 pics in different catagories and after a week or so the voting can start.

I was wondering what you think of the idea  '<img'>

LET'S HEAR IT !!!!!!
