Great recovery!
I think if the prop contacted the water he wouldn't have been so lucky

I for one would love to see the classic flying again! Hopefully to the state whereby it is feasible to give pleasure flights to those willing to part with substantial amounts of the hard earned stuff.

This puma appears to be a full time heavy lifter and has done work all across europe, seeing it above Cork would make for a great photo opportunity! Hope to see some pics :)

Aviation Waffle / Re: Waterford SAR to go to 12 hrs in new contract

Topic was brought up during the news and there was a flight time of about 35 minutes mentioned for the 61 based at Dublin to reach the South-East Waterford area. I think that this whole issue needs to be addressed before theres a loss of life.

Heard the whistle of the props and ran outside to take a look, they were heading East and my guess is maybe an airshow overseas this weekend and they were practicing or else they were just out enjoying the weather. Hopefully someone can enlighten us with more info.

Irish Air Corps / Re: How Many Of Us Think The IAC Should Have Jets ?

Yes, im also interested in what corsair might believe as a substitute for the 9's because I am of the opinion that we purchased the latest available aircraft suiting our budget and requirements when the 60 million euro contract was signed. Out of the three aircraft; Super Tucano, Raytheon Texan T-6 and the Pilatus PC-9M im satisfied that we went with the 9.

The twister duo's routine looks really technical... would be interesting to see how it turns out in the sky.
