Guinness, They only have 1 Fouga flying. The others are sold.
I'm out for a pint, sorry.

Well, you would look at which one is in the best condition. Preferably one that has spend its retirement inside. Then you'll need to find Marboré engines who have enough hours left and find someone to service or overhaul them as they aren't supported anymore by Turbomeca. The airframe would need at least a 200 hours inspection. Expect to replace a lot of seals. All in all not impossible but it would take lots of money.

edit: Keep it military registered, that way you're not bound by the civil aviation paperwork crap.

Anyone who can give me a quick list of all Fouga's still in Ireland and their location? I seem to remember 1 or 2 civil EI-*** registered ones?

Don't know about pilots, but backseat visitors overhere just got handed a chute. Here it is, sit on it. Nothing about how to handle it or what to do in case of an emergency.

You got it on the head there Tony. All aircraft are self-servicing, no maintenance required. Just kick the tyres, light the fires and away we go! :stirthepot:
Sounds like the typical officer to me. Met more then one of them over the years. Also met a few crewchiefs who thought otherwise. Seems aircraft can go U/S in the blink of an eye :p

those aren't exactly Fouga's as we know them. They are IAI tzukit's. Completely different cockpits, some composite parts/panels and many other upgrades. I do think they are the very last military operator of a Fouga descendant though. We (Belgium) were the last in Europe. Maybe one in south-America?

I'm here. Likes the looks of the old forum better though. every topic has a "new" blinking icon behind it which only goes away when I actually open the topic. On all other forum's I'm on those get cleared when I close my browser, even if I don't read them.

Looked at my stash. My Revell All2 has an artouste, but it's in 1/32. I did find this however:

I would check ebay.

Didn't Revell have an Alouette 2 with the Artouste engine? If you can find one of those you can swap engines.
