Red Arrows
« on: July 05, 2010, 02:50:27 pm »
I was over at Biggin Hill Last week for the show, loads of pics taken but its gonna take me months to sort and edit them,
I'm just looking at a few Red Arrows pics and I'm trying to "title" them. Am I right in thinking its usual protocol to title a pic with the reg of the lead aircraft? And if that's the case, will the Lead aircraft of a display team always be the same aircraft? XX308 (I think) for the Arrows at present, 267 for the Swallows etc.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I don't know of any "convention" as such... I just use the reg of an aircraft that I know is in the formation unless the reg of an aircraft is blatantly obvious, i.e. clearly visible and nearest to the camera / photographer.
