Does anyone have any info on the visiting Coastguard aircraft seen at Baldonnel this week - are they on a jolly or on exercise? '<img'>

I see in one of the Newspapers that The Coastguard is doing a major anti Pollution exercise off the coast...it now seems obvious to me that these aircraft are taking part.

I remember back in the early 90s while working at sea of fthe French coast, being warned to look skyward before throwing ANYTHING overboard, as these aircraft were quite active in their persecution of the polluter,no mater how serious the polluting.

Do the Air Corps currently carry out anti pollution patrols or is this another task that we are unable to do?

F-16'S can land at EIME/BAL. Their min is around 3,000ft and Bal's main runway is under 6k. Might have to slap on the brakes in our weather though.   ':p'
