Clan,
Its gone to the printers-that takes 7 working days. It will be out in two weeks. 3 months of hard work getting this thing off the ground-Im just glad to have one ready now!!
Here we go again for issue 2!
I'll give Frank some jpegs of the cover etc so you can have a
look-it does exist!!!

Flight Int'l do occaisonally get hold of the wrong end of the stick! Quoting an 'Inside Source' where the've only heard a rumour! And the 'Don is the place for 'Ballhops'!!

The problem is if you put SAR on the tag you'll have to do SAR so thats at least two of your flying airframes that you have to leave on permanent standby and rotation.
Realistically more if you're going to be cost efficient and operate more than one station.

Imshi is right here.

Our RNLAF has 3 AB-412's on SAR duty and only out of 1 station.
The word I hear about it is that if a helo is in maint. they have to scedule the whole thing around.
I suppose a country like Ireland needs a least 2 stations which theoraticly means at least 5 SAR helo's.

im just thinking did the corps some time back not say that they would buy 6luh and look at a training heli like the ec130 seperatly? '<img'>

The EC-135 as mentioned in the article or the EC120 which really has nothing over the EC135 as a basic flying trainer.

I wonder did the appearance of that article have anything to do with the same people... i.e. Eurocopter. Hence the uncertainty over the tender status.
