Oh.....i smell a rat on this with Naas Racecourse!! Did you see the Phoneix article? Looks like this is to do with ongoing politics between Punchestown and Naas Racecourses and has got out of control.

Most of the people giving out are either Helicopter owners or users in the county. I also see objections are now starting to be withdrawn?? This stinks and i wonder how much money has changed hands....planning me arse more like the brown envelope brigade are out hunting again.

I also see that the Red Arrows will be displaying on the Mon of the show :buttrock:

Maybe Naas wern't happy that no one offered a big brown envelope, I'd hate to speculate! but we all know how it works in this Country. 12m generated for the County and entertainment for 70,000 people over the two days potentially being sidelined by a few objectors! Maybe they should get ye man O'Flynn in Cork, with the heli-pad in his Stud Farm to let them know how horses really react.

Just checked the Airshow 1oo web site and it has been updated, it now has the Red arrows as displaying. Still no word of when tickets will go on sale or even if KCC has given permission for the show to go ahead ?

It's been TBC for the last few weeks, they probably just haven't updated the website yet.

When they first announced the 2010 Display calendar the 7th of July had Punchestown and Salthill down for Displays....
Now they have removed them....  So it looks like they cant get confirmation from the organisers.... :duh:

Christ Man, will you give the organisers some credit. The Reds are due to display in both venues on the same day. (Please note until officially confirmed this is still a rumour)

The organisers have no control over the diplomatic process, nor have they got any control over the Reds website.

The Reds have announced that all their displays before 16 June have been canceled due to the delay in training because of the accident involving the syncro pair....http://www.raf.mod.uk/reds/teamnews/index.cfm?storyid=FBD9ADF3-5056-A318-A8C202B8898A9514

This news, although a big shame, is not really that surprising. I think that the reds are lucky to be doing anything this year, and the way things are with cut backs and what have you, it would have been an ideal excuse for the MOD to put an end to them permanently.

Pity about the Red Arrows not making the two Irish shows...I suppose it's understandable due to the accident in Crete. However, I doubt the UK MoD will disnband them...they are such great ambassadors for the RAF/UK.

It's just a real pity the Silver Swallows are not re-formed using the PC-9's...the AC/country could do with more 'esprit de corps' during the current economic conditions.

BTW...I want to get an 'early bird' ticket for 'Airshow 100'....Can I get a single entry ticket?
Or is the only option the €60 car/group ticket? i.e. I will be the only occupant in my car...

Hi bought tickets the other day for 25 euro per adult single day entry but does not include parking im sure you can pay on the day. Just a word of note that the ticket link is now missing from the site and when you go to tickets.ie Airshow100 is down as not on sale?
