50 years of Heli Ops

(1/2) > >>

Machlooper:
The Air Corps celebrate 50 years of heli operations this week. Unfortunately due to the current economic climes the much talked about photo shoot/ families day/ open day (or whatever) had to be axed
Booooooo!!!
 :airforce_cry:
Ps: at no fault of the Air Corps or DF of course, these things are decided at a higher level.

Silver:
Well done to all involved in Heli Ops over the years!

Talk about penny-pinching!! Surely an Open Day/Photo Shoot etc wouldnt
cost very much to organise?

Will a Commemorative Patch be organised?
...would be a nice way to mark the occassion! (as most air arms do)  :airforce_cool:

Machlooper:
50 years of course!!!!
What am i like???

Tony Kearns:
Great to see so many familiar faces from Heli Flight, Helicopter Squadron to 3 Operations Wing. The Alouette 195 even had the covers taken off for the day. There is a fine group picture on Irish Air Corps Facebook page. :applause:

I took out my 30 year celebration magazine and scanned it for anyone who hasn't read it before.
Would be nice to see a publication both in hard and soft copy in commemoration of the 50th with all their archived photos included.
Enjoy!
