Max Decals
« on: December 15, 2004, 10:20:16 pm »
Hi Guys,

I recently got my hands on a copy of the latest batch of Max Decals (http://www.maxdecals.com) decals for Irish Air Corps aircraft.

The sheet is reference number Max 7216 and has decals for the following aircraft:

PC-9M
Alouette III
Dauphin II
Fouga
CASA
S-61N (Air Corps / Irish Coastguard / IMES)
Garda EC-135
Garda Squirrel (Old & New schemes)

German Border Police Puma (Garda markings, Pope's visit)

The quality of the decals are first class, and each set of decals comes with detailed views, decal placement positions and colour codes for each aircraft mentioned above.

To see a picture of the decal sheet and some of the pictures that come on the enclosed instructions sheet click on the link below:

The decals are available in Ireland from Marks Models and All Models and in the UK from Hannants.

A second sheet will follow early next year with 1/48 subjects including the Dauphin, Miles Magister and whatever markings the new helicopters will carry when that has been decided.

Regards,

Frank.

Hi Frank,

Cant help noticing that in Max Decals there is an error in the "Civvy Reg" of the Sikorski S61 Air Corps Reg 257. The reg shown is EI-MES which is the reg of the Dublin Based S61, it should read EI-CXS. May be it should be brought to Joe Maxwell's attention the maker of Max Decals.

Hi Again Frank,
Just sussed out what Max Decals is doing, no need to alert re reg of 257, I see waht is on the Decal sheets are options rather than the definite reg. Sorry.
