Conducted Some 200 Sorties, Takeoffs And Landings Carrier Air Wing (CVW) Five and the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) completed carrier qualifications, Sept. 9-12. To certify, Ronald Reagan and CVW-5 were required to conduct approximately 200 sorties, takeoffs and landings, as well as demonstrate proficiency in flight related operations during both day and night.
