Comments: S.61N EI-BHO (c/n 61822) was the first dedicated SAR Sikorsky to operate on behalf of the Irish Government's Department of the Marine (although EI-BLY acted as an interim SAR machine while 'BHO was being converted), entering service as such in 1992. Originally delivered to Irish Helicopters Ltd. new from the production line in November 1979, this helicopter was sold in the UK as G-BPWB in May 1997, when Irish Helicopters lost the SAR contract to Bond Helicopters (now CHC).
