Large Picture Comments: Arriving here for maintenance, this late-build 707 actually had quite a short service life, as it entered storage at Dublin around 1991 when Nigeria Airways was unable to fund the completion of an overhaul. After lying derelict for several years, it was scrapped at Dublin in late 1999. Its nose section is now reported to be at the University of Limerick to be converted into a 737-800 flight simulator.

Large Picture Comments: In later years this aircraft was converted to MH-53M standard. It was hit by an RPG and force-landed near Zawbaa, Iraq on 13 April 2004, the three crew being injured. An attempt to retrieve the helicopter failed so it was blown up on site.
