Large Picture Comments: 23/12/1971, while on approach to Damacus contacted high ground with it's landing gear. The crew maintained control & landed safely at DAM. There were no injuries. It was repaired & returned to service. Now used as a night club near the town of Gyor, Hungary. Fergal Goodman has an excellent photo of this aircraft on approach to Dublin April 1988. Large Picture Comments: Built in 1950 this Lisunov 2 served first with the Hungarian Air Force up until 1957 when it joined Malev. It returned to the Air Force in 1964. It is now on static display next to a petrol station in the small town of Bocsa.
