The Irish Government Jet with the Taoiseach and 11 others on board, was Struck by lightning this afternoon. A spokesman said that the jet landed safely after a huge flash. (was mary harney on board as well?)
Just before it happened, Bertie Ahern was heard saying...."Jasus lads, if I lied and conned the people, may I be struck by".......((Boom))!!

Doesnt seem to be any different to what has been done for years except its been put on an official footing - possibly now with a chance of being expanded or the HSE operating out of the don like gasu does !

No cygnet hasnt flown the nest - nice to see some old names on the board - there must be no gossip or scandal in the Don - although I hear the wheels might finally be in motion for PC ? did I hear correct then !

Alas it seems unfortunate that the only posts recently in this column are regarding deaths of colleagues and loved ones.No other news on this item I'm sure the details will be in the newspapers.
On behalf of all the members I would like to convey our condolances to Brendans family.
