The ATR should like good in the Aer Lingus scheme - wonder if they would consider such regional routes as a link between Dublin, Cork, Shannon, Belfast and Knock.....

Aviation Waffle / Re: Fouga's to fly again!

Hi Guys.
This is a bit of a sentimental journey for me - visited Beirut International in  1986 and the Fougas, Hunters and Vamipres were all in a hanger there as well as a number of Allouette Threes. From memory they were all removed to a Lebanese Air Force Base in the North of the country for security (safety) reasons. I tried to photograph them, but a nice gentleman with an AK  :blues: suggested that I did not, thus the lack of evidence. Hopefully we will see these aircraft in the skies again over this beautiful but troubled country.

Was at the match - great show by the Air Corps :applause: :applause: :applause:. It surprised a lot of the attendance who were not expecting it :yikes: :wow: Some of the punters expected them to drop the ball  :duh:, while others thought they should land  :jaw-dropping: - what if they bogged down!

Anyways - well done to all, it was a pleasure to see.

Well said Paul. If the appearance and fee are agreed the show should go on. It appears from what you say that Gazzumping is alive and well in the air show organising area. A lot of the money that went to putting the Vulcan into the air came from the "ordinary joe" who, like myself, would like to see the machine perform where it is advertised.

Driving home from work this evening a DC-8 flew over me at Barberstown en-route to landing at EIME. Looked like a 50 or 60 series, possibly Africa International...... Any info?
