Just saw in the papers the notice of the passing of Comdt Paddy O' Shea after a long ilness. Paddy was awarded the DSM on two occasions while serving with the Air Corps.The first occasion on 13 May 1977 with Sgt. R Murray and Armn.D Byrne at the cliff face, Powerscourt Co Wicklow and later on 1 August 1977 with Sgt. Willie Byrne and Owen Sherry during a night rescue at Muckish Mountain Co Donegal.
There was always a welcome from Paddy at Baldonnel. RIP
