I came across this recent written Dáil reply on the sale of the six Alouette IIIs, which people may find of interest:

Given that the total sale price was €1.43 million for the six A3's incl parts and tools...what would people here estimate that each chopper was worth? €100k €200k ?

Personally I think the tender price was very good.

The question would arise as to whether the aircraft were sought as fliers or just for parts.  Also, they were most likely due maintenance checks if they were to continue flying and the oldest machines in the fleet were well over 40 years old.  All of these would be factors in relation to the price a buyer would be willing to pay.
