Scotland - aviation stuff to see?
« on: June 15, 2010, 11:27:44 pm »
I'm off to Scotland for my hols next week and was wondering if there are any good aviation related places to visit? (Museums, airfields, wrecks, etc) ...plus any motoring museums, circuits...

Silver,

Head for the Museum of Flight, East Fortune. Plenty to keep you busy there !  Fergal Goodman has some very nice photos in the database.

East Fortune, absolutely  Old WWII airfield with hangars and stuff and some aircraft here and there too  :rotfl:
And if you get there early, you can get ticket for tour inside the Concord.

Thanks guys.

I think thats near Dumfries...where I'm staying for the first night.

Am wondering if its worth making the trip further north to have a look at RAF Lossiemouth or Leuchars??
